"Big Horn Lodge, Noxon, Montana"

The Big Horn Lodge is a unique B&B that offers a superior facility surrounded by the awesome Cabinet Mountains.  The Big Horn Lodge is a perfect place to stage your Hiking, Biking and Camping experiences into the Cabinet Wilderness. .

Start your next adventure from the Big Horn Lodge, here are just a few places for your to explore:

Summer Meals on the Big Horn Lodge, with Berray Mtn. just half a mile away:
Berray Mountain South Trail #       winds up through heavy forest with great view points of the Bull River and Big Horn Lodge. The trail travels around rock outcroppings, follows a seasonal creek and passes a small marshy pond.  The trail itself is a fun experience but is strenuous.  Near the lookout tower there is a sign leading to water.   The lookout tower is in fairly good condition and gives tremendous views of both the east and west Cabinet ranges. Allow 6 hours for this 10 mile round trip hike with 4000 feet of elevation gain..

North Trail #     starts above Snake Pass.  It is half the distance and half the elevation gain of the south trail #    .

The Pillick Ridge Trail starts just across the road from the Big Horn Lodge.  Trail #    gains 4000 vertical feet before the views start on the summit ridge.  The trail has had a lot of work done to it this summer and has sections that make you think "Lions-Tigers-Bears".  It is a strenuous hike.  The summit ridge is a very rewarding experience that can take you all the way to Star Lookout about 12 miles and 6000 vertical feet along the great path. The Pillick Ridge Trail is ridge hiking at its best.  Carry water.
Little Spar Lake, one of the most splendid alpine lakes in Montana.  20 miles north of the Lodge.
Moran Lake Trail Head, first six miles are Bike Legal.  Trail starts 3 miles from the lodge.
Billiard Mtn from Star Peak Lookout; cross country hiking at its best.
Star Lookout, Trail head just 12 miles from Lodge
Historic Forest Ranger Station just a short bike ride from the lodge.
Canoe the Bull River, starting at the Lodge!
Bike the Berray Mtn Loop.  Start at Snake Pass and its all downhill to the Lodge,,,almost 20 Miles worth!!!
